Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical First Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis at The Chiltern Hospital, located in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, South West England. This opportunity is with Circle Health Group, a leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom.

As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of operations in the operating room. Your main responsibilities will include preparing the operating room, positioning and draping patients, passing instruments to surgeons, and providing suction or other assistance as needed.

This temporary position is set to begin on 08/01/2025 and will end on the same day. The shift will start at 08:00:00 and end at 20:00:00, with a competitive payment rate of £492.60 per shift.

Applicants for this role must have a relevant qualification as a Surgical First Assistant and must be registered with the appropriate governing body. Previous experience working in a similar role within a healthcare setting is essential.

Strong communication and teamwork skills are also required, as you will be working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.

Attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to upholding high standards of patient safety and care are all essential qualities for this role.

In addition to providing direct surgical assistance, you may also be responsible for maintaining surgical equipment, ensuring that all instruments are properly sterilized and in good working order.
